How do I hire a costume?
Our range of Fancy Dress Hire Costumes are not currently available online. If you know the costume or theme you are interested in please feel free to contact us for availability and information. Please note that the actual hiring process must still be done in person at our store. In the event that you cannot find a suitable costume, or do not have internet access please do not hesitate to contact our showroom at 0208 505 3711, where our friendly customer care liaison will be able to advise and assist you.
Booking or Hiring Online
At this time you cannot place your order online for costume hire. All Costume Hire must be completed from our Shop in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
Cancellation of reserved costume
A non-refundable booking fee is applicable in the event of a cancellation. This fee can be transferred to an alternative costume; however this is forfeited in the event of an outright cancellation. The non-refundable booking fee, currently set at £10 per costume, is deducted from the hire of the chosen costume.
Deposit Requirements
A refundable deposit is required for the hire of a costume; however please take note of the non-refundable booking fee mentioned above. The hiring terms and conditions contain the specific requirements of the deposit, as it depends upon the chosen costume in terms of the deposit requirements.

Our website offers two functional menus, as well as a search function located at the top of the left hand side menu. The top-level menu includes access to the broader product range, terms and conditions, contact and company details, as well as your shopping cart and shipping and delivery details.
The left hand side menu offers quick access to broadly defined categories, such as men's costumes, ladies costumes and so on. We also have a featured gallery on the main homepage, which showcases some of the more popular items that are regularly sold online. Your best bet is to browse through the site and the various categories to appreciate the extent of the catalogue and range of products that we have on offer.

Ordering accessories or sale items
Should you require accessories, or wish to purchase one of our sale items, simply add the item to your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout where you can complete the necessary steps to finalise your purchase. Items that are for sale, as well as the accessories were clearly marked accordingly for ease of purchase and processing. You can at any time access your shopping cart to view what you have chosen, as well as to remove any unwanted items. Once you have finished browsing and selecting your desired items simply select the checkout option can proceed with the instructions.
Cancellation after confirmation
An order cannot be cancelled after it has been confirmed and paid for online, as it will have been processed through our system. Should you wish to cancel your order after such confirmation and payment, you will have to liaise directly with the customer care department available at

Returns policy

Out of stock items
Once your order has been completed and processed, your desired costume will be reserved for you, however they are instances where we may well be out of stock of that item, in this unlikely event our customer care department will contact you either telephonically or via e-mail to discuss any possible alternatives that may be suitable for you. There are instances that stock items are not kept within the shop, and may well be in our Warehouse, in which instance we will be able to confirm after checking our inventory.
Safety of information and privacy policy
Arabesque respects your privacy as well as your personal information very highly, and will not do anything to jeopardise such information. We will never rent, sell or share your private information without your explicit permission, please refer to our privacy policy for full details.
Delivery outside of the UK
International delivery is available, any additional charges beyond UK delivery will be for your account, and added to the cost of your order. There is no additional mark-up whatsoever, and the only charge that is levied is that of the postage or courier company as per their going rates. All international orders will be liaised with within 24 hours of placing such order.
Methods of Payment
The following major credit and debit cards are currently accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Solo, Switch and American Express. We also accept paypal. Cheques made payable to Arabesque will be accepted; however orders will only be dispatched on the clearance of such cheque, which can take up to 10 working days. In the event of you wish to pay by cheque please take this timeframe into account, and plan accordingly. At this point in time we do not accept cash payments.
Credit card detail safety
The website of Arabesque uses Secure Sockets Layer, or otherwise known as SSL, which provides the highest security in terms of personal detail encryption, over an Internet connection. This security measure is in place to ensure that your details remain safe, after submitting them to Arabesque.
Third party purchasers
In order to maintain security measures and integrity, we do not allow third-party or gift purchases. Therefore Arabesque will only deliver to the cardholders address, which ensures that any orders placed over the Internet or in fact going to the correct person, being the cardholder. This is part of our ongoing security measures to ensure that you and your information remain safe with our company, as well as reducing the possibility of any fraudulent purchases on stolen credit cards.
Our prices may differ in store, as compared to our website for a number of reasons; we do however strive to provide our valued customer with the best possible price and service available.
